πŸ₯€ 7 Tips for Staying Hydrated While Running

Hey Reader,

I hope your summer has got off to a good start!

If you didn't already know, I was in a bike accident back in late April that left me with a broken rib and a separated shoulder. I had surgery on my shoulder eight weeks ago. The recovery is going well, but it's definitely a blow to my identity not being able to run or bike.

However, I am trying to practice what I preach, take things slow, and appreciate any movement I can perform. I have been walking a lot (finding hills to work my legs) and will be starting to introduce some gentle running soon!

I am in Toronto, and that summer heat and humidity are here! πŸ₯΅

It's easy to forget that our sweat isn't just water.

But why do we only down a glass of water after a long run or a hot day? Our sweat consists of water and salt, so the next time you reach for that glass of water, consider what your body truly needs.

Say goodbye to sugar-laden sports drinks and hello to LMNT, the ultimate electrolyte drink mix. Packed with essential electrolytes and zero sugars, LMNT keeps you hydrated, energized, and ready to tackle any run.

Prevent muscle cramps, reduce fatigue, and power through your workouts with this delicious drink mix.

Even when not running or working out, I get bored of plain water, so I sip on LMNT throughout the day to stay hydrated. My favourite flavour right now is watermelon salt! πŸ‰

This meant drinking our morning coffee during the 25 minute drive to the trailhead. I got out and put my hair up, then started stretching...uh...oh..."Honey, could we possibly drive b...

It’s been quite a while since my last run. End of April according to my Garmin app. I just really lost momentum, lost the spark and the motivation, so I stopped running. Didn’t stop moving though as I did some jazzercise-inspired workouts instead to keep the cardio workouts going. And a lot of walking. Walked a half marathon in the beginning ...

Completed a virtual 15K today using run/walk intervals. Walked 1/4 of each mile which kept me feeling pretty comfortable aside from the seams of my socks starting to rub for the last few miles. Any sock recommendations?
